The Alta Audio Alyssa is a compact bookshelf loudspeaker (monitor) that draws surprisingly deep, well-controlled bass from a small cabinet — thanks to the proprietary XTL™ technology, which combines a tuned port with a transmission line. It is a monitor that sounds far bigger than its size.
The driver complement comprises: a 6″ bass-midrange driver (3″ voice coil with a titanium former, made by Morel to Alta’s specification) and a 2.5″ aluminium ribbon tweeter (Fountek) with a neodymium magnet. A 3rd-order crossover with a 2.2 kHz crossover point.
Despite its compact dimensions, the Alyssa offers a wide bandwidth (32 Hz – 47 kHz) and a refined, open ribbon sound. Ideal for demanding listeners in smaller rooms, or as a top-quality near-field monitor.
