The MB805 are valve power monoblocks in a pure, fully triode single-ended configuration, designed and hand-built in the United Kingdom. They deliver 40 W per channel in Class A — enough power to combine the immediacy and intimacy of single-ended with real drive, especially with full-range, classic or simple-design loudspeakers.
The signal passes through a refined stage: 6SN7 valves drive a 2A3 valve in a choke-loaded arrangement, which in turn drives the majestic 805 output valve. An output transformer with a proprietary additional winding (LDT — Low Distortion Tertiary) and a large, choke-regulated power supply complete the design.
Each monoblock is entirely hand-assembled, point-to-point, using Japanese fine-grain transformer laminations, oxygen-free copper, Mundorf coupling capacitors and silver-plated PTFE wiring. A valve cage is included; upgrade options are available.
