The FRM2 are full-range floorstanding loudspeakers based on the proprietary 8-inch Icon Audio driver — a bridge between traditional multi-way designs and the simplicity of a full-range layout. The sound is exceptionally musical, with a direct, seamless transition between bass, midrange and treble.
Doing away with a classic tweeter and crossover in favour of a special attenuator eliminates wasted amplifier power and preserves high efficiency — while giving a soundstage and space „like no other loudspeakers”. The driver combines a rare-earth dome, a paper cone, a long voice coil and an extended suspension.
The cabinet is made of audiophile MDF with three internal braces and a real-wood veneer (cherry or American walnut), with high-purity copper wiring. The loudspeakers are built to work with low-power valve amplifiers — both single-ended and push-pull.
