The Sophia Electric Prodigy is an integrated valve amplifier with a unique Dual-Mono design: two single-ended valves work alternately in a push-pull arrangement, combining the succulent, fluid and seductive sound typical of single-ended with the fullness and four-times-greater power of a classic SE. The result is 12 W per channel with an effortless, tangible presentation.
The power stage is based on four 6V6 valves, driven by 12AT7 or 12AX7. Five pairs of RCA inputs allow an extensive system of sources to be connected, while the low hum level (1.2 mV) and wide bandwidth (7 Hz – 30 kHz) confirm the care taken in the design.
It is aimed at listeners who want valve magic without the limitations of a typical single-ended design — with greater power reserves and fuller bass, in an elegant, hand-built Sophia Electric chassis.
