The MFV2 are stand-mount loudspeakers from Icon Audio — like the whole MFV range, designed to work with valve amplifiers and to complement their characteristic, warm sound. It is a design that combines compact dimensions with a transparent, natural presentation capable of filling larger rooms too.
The speakers use a large pure-copper voice coil, enlarged rare-earth magnets and hand-assembled crossovers with audiophile capacitors. The bass-midrange driver is related to the unit from the MFV3 Super, and the low-F0 tweeter is fitted with a copper ring. The magnets are shielded.
The cabinet is made of long-fibre „speaker-grade” MDF in a rosewood finish. A smooth impedance characteristic and an easy load mean the MFV2 work superbly with low-power valve amplifiers. A grille is included; spiked stands are optional. Designed and built in Leicester, United Kingdom.
