The Stereo 60 MkIII is a powerful integrated valve amplifier from Icon Audio with a switchable operating mode. In ultra-linear mode it offers 80 W per channel, and in pure triode 50 W — enough to drive virtually any loudspeaker with control and ease, while retaining the characteristic, natural valve sound.
The design is based on KT150 or KT120 output valves (with KT88/6550 compatibility), driven by 6SL7 and 6SN7 in a Class A input stage. A UL/Triode switch lets you choose between more power and the purest triode sound, and the unit can work both as an integrated amplifier (with remote) and as a power amplifier fed from a separate preamplifier.
A low noise level (−90 dB), very low distortion (THD below 0.05% at 1 kHz) and an even frequency response (20 Hz – 20 kHz, +0/−0.5 dB at full power) confirm the class of this design. 4 and 8 Ω speaker taps.
