The Stereo 60 MkIV is the latest generation of Icon Audio’s powerful integrated amplifier — the world’s first integrated design on KT150 valves with switchable ultra-linear and triode modes. It delivers an impressive 85 W per channel in ultra-linear mode and 50 W in pure triode, with power reserves to drive virtually any loudspeaker.
The driver stage is based on 6SN7 valves, and the power supply is regulated by a large choke. The amplifier can work as an integrated unit or as a power amplifier fed from a separate preamplifier. A switch lets you choose the character of operation at any time — more power (ultra-linear) or the purest triode sound.
The design is full hand-wired point-to-point with high-quality components: a Japanese ALPS Blue potentiometer, Solen capacitors and LDT transformers wound to order. It is completed by a valve-bias meter, a recording loop and a remote control.
