The Alta Audio Adam is a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker with a transmission line (rear port) — a compact yet full-blooded, reference-class speaker. It combines a proprietary ribbon tweeter with bass technology that draws surprisingly deep, controlled low end from a modest cabinet.
The driver complement comprises: a 5¾” ribbon tweeter, a 6″ midrange (with an aluminium core that increases dispersion) and an 8¾” woofer — all custom-made to Alta Audio’s specification. Crossover points: 250 Hz and 2.5 kHz.
High sensitivity (91.5 dB) and a wide bandwidth (20 Hz – 47 kHz) allow the Adam to work comfortably with a variety of amplifiers (50–300 W recommended), delivering an open, dynamic and refined sound.
