The Alta Audio Titanium Hestia is a reference floorstanding loudspeaker — the culmination of the brand’s engineering. Five drivers, the proprietary XTL™ bass technology and a ribbon tweeter with an amorphous core create a sound of outstanding resolution, dynamics and openness — from deep, controlled bass to an airy, ethereal top end.
The driver complement comprises: a 10″ woofer with a titanium basket in XTL tuning, two 7″ titanium bass-midrange drivers, a 6″ titanium midrange (hexagonal cone) and a high-efficiency ribbon tweeter with an amorphous core — in a D’Appolito arrangement with an open, dipole rear. XTL™ combines a transmission line with a resonant system, increasing dynamics and control while extending the bass.
The ribbon tweeter — described as the fastest, smoothest and most open tested in 40 years — provides an almost ideal impulse response. These are loudspeakers for the most demanding, building a reference system.
