The Sophia Electric KT88 are push-pull power monoblocks whose circuit and transformers were designed and voiced by Richard Wugang, and built at the Sophia Electric workshop. They deliver 50 W per channel with a powerful, open sound and a broad, controlled soundstage.
This is a design that combines the characteristic, natural sound of the valve with power and dynamics capable of driving virtually any loudspeaker — from efficient to more demanding (4 and 8 Ω, from around 84 to over 100 dB sensitivity). Excellent bass extension, „shattering” dynamics and a large, open top end are the hallmarks of these monoblocks.
Proprietary transformers and careful hand assembly translate into top-tier sound — for listeners who don’t want to choose between power and valve magic.
